Credit cards |
Most of hotels, restaurants, cashmere shops do accept major credit cards. ATM machines are available at the Trade and Development Bank (across the street, south from the Ulaanbaatar Hotel) and in the Ulaanbaatar Hotel lobby. |
Traveler checks |
Can be cashed at most of commercial banks, the best is the Trade and Development bank. |
Currency exchange |
Major foreign currency can be exchanged at any commercial banks' offices available in many places in the capital city. It is not advisable to deal with street changers. Best rate can be obtained at foreign exchange office at the Ard Cinema, one block west from the Central Post Office. |
Money transfer |
Money sending services such as Western Union and MoneyGram are available at most of banks. Look for respective sign or click the links to locate an agent in Mongolia. Bank transfers available at most commercial banks. |

CDs with traditional folklore music and songs as well as postal stamps can help you to keep and share the flavour of the country. |
